Medium 9k gold, Agate, Enamel

Formed of a rounded cup, the edge with black enamel and chiseld leaves. In the center a rounded gold bow-setting with a beautiful bull-eye agate surrounded by four branches intertwined of grapes leaves. 
The brooch in a very good condition, with a hided locket on the backside with its original glass.
The choice of the toned colour and the bull-eye agate are referable to the mourn. During Antiquity, this type of agate were used to catch Evil or spells.
