Tobogan Antiques

France, Paris

Philippe Zoï represents the second generation of dealers. Founded before 1945, this family business specialised in European art from the second half of the nineteenth century. After starting out as an antique dealer in the 1980s, Philippe Zoï moved to the Louvre des Antiquaires in 1997, becoming an expert in the French taste of the period. In 2012, he opened a new showcase for his Tobogan Antiques gallery at 14 avenue Matignon. The gallery's stunning decor features museum-quality works of art representative of the major artistic movements of the second half of the nineteenth century, including Napoleon III Eclecticism, Japonism, Orientalism and the Neo-Greek and Egyptian styles, all of which are widely represented in French and international museums. As a member of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires and an expert in furniture and objets d'art from the second half of the nineteenth century with the Compagnie Nationale des Experts in Paris, Philippe Zoï is upholding the family tradition of putting knowledge and quality first.
