The Ludorff Gallery spreads over two floors in a building located in the famous ‘Königsallee. It was founded by Rainer M. Ludorff in 1975 who was joined by his son Manuel in 2009. The gallery has gained great renown on the international art market. In the domain of German Expressionism, major works by the artists belonging to the famous ‘Die Brücke’ and ‘Der blaue Reiter’ are privileged. The gallery also focuses on modern painters, post-war abstract art, contemporary art and sculpture. Expert advice is offered concerning the acquisition and sale of these artists’ work. Since opening, the gallery has organised solo exhibitions by artists such as Josef Albers, Max Ernst, Lyonel Feininger, Sam Francis, Alexej Jawlensky, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Oskar Kokoschka, Georg Kolbe, Max Liebermann, August Macke, Marino Marini, Henry Moore, Ernst Wilhelm Nay, Emil Nolde, Max Pechstein, Serge Poliakoff and Gerhard Richter. The gallery participates in the international salons of Bâle, Cologne and Munich.
