Gustav Gurschner designed this figure around 1900 and, inter alia, made use of it for a two branch candelabra. The hands of the out-stretched arms of our figures each hold a laurel wreath while they are linked to each other with a bronze ring. At first glance, it might seem as if the ring was a later addition. However, closer inspection reveals that the respective arms and hands differ in the way they are held and thus fit the ring exactly. Furthermore, there are no visible traces that the patina has been disturbed.
