Hand knotted carpets designed by Paul Haesaerts and executed in the workshops of De Saedeleer. At the back the numbering 1/6 and the monogram dS are sewn with a cross-stitch.
Paul Haesaerts offered this carpet to his friend Charles Demey, son of Henri Evenepoel when he had a relation with his niece, Louise van Mettemburgh.
