Literature: cf: The head of Christ, characterised by a serene facial expression and almond-shaped eyes fixed downwards. The delicately and sensitively carved torso reveals his ribs beneath Christ’s skin. Undoubtedly, this sculpture originated from a church, likely part of a larger crucifixion group.
It is probable that it was situated near a prominent ‘portico’ or ‘entrance door’.
