Although of particular beauty and elegance, the vine leaf decoration is one of the rarest patterns used by Wiener Werkstätte. This may be due to the fact that Moser left Wiener Werktätte in 1906 in a dispute over its financial management. Hoffmann had repeatedly called on Moser to ask his wife Editha Mautner Markhof for further financing. This was of course embarrassing for Moser, who sought to maintain his position in the family.
According to the Wiener Werkstätte archieves at the MAK, 2 such candy trays.
