Specialising in Decorative arts from the 20th and 21st centuries, the Gallery was opened in Geneva in 1981 by Lionel Latham. After having organised numerous ‘historical’ thematic exhibitions, Lionel Latham naturally began to present contemporary Swiss creations. His knowledge of the history of the decorative arts allows him to identify truly innovative and timeless creators. Since 2008, the Gallery has published several catalogues illustrating its exhibitions, including the project ‘Mémoires d'objets’, featuring specifically-produced pieces by contemporary designers, in relation to a selection of ancient objects, chosen by these guest artists from the gallery's collection.
