Van Pruissen Asian Art is based on over 25 years of experience and founded in February 2023. The company specialises in East Asian art with a particular focus on Japanese art and is led by founder Erwin van Pruissen. Erwin's lifelong passion for Japanese art began early on. This profound interest led him on a journey to study Japanese language and culture in Leiden, followed by significant professional experience at Sotheby's Amsterdam, Vanderven & Vanderven Oriental Art, and Kunsthaus Lempertz. Based in stately Arnhem, the gallery is open by appointment. Van Pruissen Asian Art, has an extensive range of services in advising on East Asian art such as acquisition, consignment, valuation and research.
