Located opposite the Palais de l'Elysée in Paris, the Galerie de la Présidence, founded in 1971 by Françoise Chibret-Plaussu, is now run by her daughter Florence. The gallery offers a selection of masters from the late 19th and 20th centuries such as Boudin, Buffet, Cross, Derain, Fautrier, Dufy, Giacometti, Gromaire, Hélion, Maillol, Marquet, Matisse, Poliakoff, Signac, Vieira da Silva, Vlaminck and Vuillard. The Galerie de la Présidence regularly organises exhibitions and retrospectives. Over the past twenty years, more than fifty works by each of the following artists have been shown in separate exhibitions: Albert Marquet, Maurice de Vlaminck, Paul Signac, H.E. Cross and Marcel Gromaire. A catalogue was produced each time. The gallery regularly collaborates with important museums, and in 2016 contributed to the Boudin retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art André Malraux in Le Havre and to the Marquet exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris.
