The Montanari Gallery, founded in 1978, is situated on the Rive Droite, surrounded by prestigious antique shops and famous galleries. It presents an extensive collection of antique French, Spanish, Italian and Flemish frames that date from the 16th to the 20th century. The gallery also specialises in Art Nouveau frames, and undertakes all types of framing from antique to modern, also working on commission. Capucine, daughter of the founder, Amedeo Montanari, has taken over as gallery director, continuing the family tradition. She works with a young, talented team, some of whom have earned the prestigious title ‘meilleur ouvrier de France’, including an expert in framing and canvas mounting. Only neutral materials that conform to today's strictest standards are used in order to insure optimal conservation.
