Silver, malachite (some cracks)

The letters in the centre of the brooch can be read as "E AST". The brooch was a gift to Elsa Ast, née Bacher, a jeweller’s daughter and the wife of physician Wilhelm II. Ast, who was a brother of the master builder Eduard Ast.
