Founded in 1998 on Paris's Rive Droite, the 'Galerie des Modernes' originally specialised in French masters from 1910 to 1940, before extending its scope to the entire twentieth century. The gallery moved to the Carré Rive Gauche in 2012, and in 2016 to a larger space of 100 m² on two levels, located at 13 rue des Saint-Pères, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Since the end of 2023, the gallery has been managed solely by one of its founders: Vincent Amiaux. Faithful to its choices, the gallery presents paintings, drawings and sculptures by artists linked to the major movements in the history of modern art. Galerie des Modernes is a member of the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d'Art (CPGA) and a member of Carré Rive Gauche.
