Colourless glass with opal underlay, base with band in dark brown-red, metallic-yellow side, salmon-red mouth, the whole covered with trailed silver-yellow bands; lip with
gilt brass mount round the edge (one leaf missing), gilt brass base, excellent condition

A particularly lavish Phaenomen décor was used on this vase. It was first used by Franz Hofstötter to decorate his seminal vase designs for the Paris World Exhibition
in 1900.
