Chinese export porcelain, Kangshi period (1662-1722). Urn shaped tea caddy decorated in cobalt blue underglaze with a silver lid. On the body the coat of arms of D. Pedro de Lancastre Silveira Valente Castelo Branco Vasconcelos Barreto e Meneses, toped by an inverted head pelican. The whole composition is encircled by flowers and sits on an open lotus flower. The conical base filled by a band of flowers and squirrels.
