Louis XVI period gold oval tabatiere
Two gold hinged oval box, the lid is covered with wavy friezes of various shapes on an amatized background which gives way to a smooth surface in the centre. Same construction on the base. Both parts have a toothed border in red gold. The frame is made up of four panels engraved with wavy bands within a rectilinear border. The whole is delimited by four pilasters that could symbolise an altar and decorated with garlands of leaves. Mastergold: illegible.
