An unusual late 18th century mahogany 'Carlton House' writing table, the pierced brass galleried superstructure with central reeded tambour doors enclosing a single shelf and marble base flanked on either side by two banks of four graduated drawers with Bramah locks, the mahogany crossbanded writing surface above one long drawer and four short drawers; on circular tapering reeded legs terminating in brass castors.
