Medium Steel, decorated with damascened silver foliate details
Standing on a quadruped perch, this elegant falcon is made of steel and decorated with damascened silver foliate details. Its folded wings are painted with feather-like details, whilst the decorations around its eyes and head portray a covering hood used during falconry training. Its plain, yet distinctive, peak charmingly curves downwards whilst its graceful posture is emphasised by a floral cartouche on the falcon’s breast. Its robust legs and sharp curving feet rest on top of the perch, which is in two parts: the upper part of the perch has a cross beam resting on a long spike, whilst the lower section has a long socket to take the spike and rests on four curving legs. The falcon is secured to the beam by means of two screws with circular grips.
