Furnishings and objets d’art of an astounding modernity for the time were made for the exhibition put on by the "Wiener Kunst im Hause" (Viennese Art in the Home) Association under the motto "simple furniture". Many of these are exemplary even today. Teachers and students influenced and stimulated each other to a very high degree.

Surface professionally repolished, some restorations to the veneer, very good condition.
The bedroom ensemble by Franz Messner which we showed in Maastricht in 2013 (cat. no. 10) as well as the suite of library furniture we showed 2014 (cat. no. 11) come from the same Viennese haute bourgeoisie home as the three cabinets we are now showing.
